Support Switching to Lower or Same-Priced Plans (with Discounts)

🔍 Problem Statement

Pelcro blocks plan switches to a plan with a lower or equal price, even when the target plan has a discount applied that makes it effectively cheaper. This prevents subscribers from switching to discounted plans and forces manual workarounds.

💡 User Story

As a subscriber, I want to switch to a lower or same-priced plan when a discount makes it cheaper, so that I can take advantage of promotional pricing without admin intervention.

🎯 Definition of Done (DoD)

A feature is done when:

✔️ Given a subscriber on a plan, when they initiate a switch to a plan with a lower or equal base price that has a discount applied, then the switch is allowed and the discounted price is applied correctly.
